Memorial Day Mani

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with another nail art for nubs Monday.
I come from a family that had some family members served in our country's armed forces and in honor of Memorial Day I did a Memorial theme mani with red, white and blue.

The products I used:
Jordana Calcium boost base coat
Sinful Colors professional Snow Me White
Pure Ice Freedom
Sinful Colors Nail Art Be My Valentine
Unforgettable Moments Quick Dry Top Coat

This mani gave me some trouble this week in that the white and red ran together when put a top coat and I could not get the red stripes straight as I wanted.
Also Pure Ice Freedom was really hard to work with in that I had to dig in the polish to find the silver Stars and I had to use my fingers to place them on.
All in all it came out ok but I'm not really a fan of this mani. :0(
I did really like how Freedom looks on white and how it shimmers in the sun is so pretty.

What do you think of my mani this week?

Don't forget to check out the other nail art for nubs this week.

Happy Memorial Day !
I will never forget about the men and women that fought and die for our country.

Until next time.

Pinchme Samples

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here with two of my pinchme samples that were delayed by pinchme. So I figured I just put them together as on collective pinchme sample post.
If you want to know more about pinchme check out my other posts.

In my first bag of samples I got a sample of Advil PM and I was also lucky to get a full size sample of one of my favorite nail polish brands Sinful Colors. We got to choose what color we would like to try so I pick this light blue one which is called Tidal Wave.

The second bag I got a perfume sample of Beyonce new parfume called Rise.

I can't wait to try all of my free samples especially the nail polish.

Until next time.

Walgreens and CVS Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with another Walgreens and CVS haul.
A few days ago I went to walgreens to see if they got in the Wet N Wild summer nail polish collection but sadly they did not have them yet.
But what I found was some good deals on elf and milani which I had to buy.
I got three of the E.L.F Lip balm tints for .99 cents each on sale they are regularly $2.00.
So I got all the colors they had which was Berry, Grapefruit and Nude. I will be doing a review on these.
I also got two of the Milani baked eyeshadows from the runway eye collection in Beach Sand and Golden Touch. You might think I crazy to get two of the same color but they are not the same. Beach Sand is a light brown with silver glitter and Golden Touch is a light brown with gold glitter and they were on sale for $3.99 each regularly $7.99.

Then I saw on  Nouveaucheap blog that CVS was having a sale on Milani products so I figured I would check it out. So I have been wanting to try these two products that I bought. The two items I got was Milani baked eyeshadow in Green Fortune and Milani nail lacquer in Sugar Coated. They both 50% off. The eyeshadow was $4.15 and the nail polish was $2.99 and I had a .50 off coupon for cvs also so I saved $7.64 which is 54% saving value yay.

I can't wait to try all of these products I bought.

What do you think about my haul?

Until next time.

Coral and Brown Smoky Eye

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with another smoky eye look for smoky eye Friday.
This week I wanted to do a Coral and Brown look as you can see.

The products I used for this smoky eye look:

Wet N Wild eyeshadow single brulee (brow bone highlight)
Avon True color eyeshadow duo Sunkissed shell (eyelid color)/ refreshing coral (crease color)
Wet N Wild Eyeshadow palette in Comfort Zone (left side palette eyelid color and crease color in outer v area)
Avon big color eye pencil perfect peach (base color for eyeshadows)
E.L.F eyelid primer sheer
Milani easy liner glitter eyeliner Terra Brown

This weeks smoky eye is not as bright as last weeks and more an everyday summer look. This summer coral and bronze browns are in this year and this smoky eye is perfect for summer day at the beach or by the pool.
I'm really happy how this smoky eye came out and will be wearing this pretty coral eyeshadow Trio again this summer.

What do you think of this weeks Smoky Eye Look?

Don't forget to check out the other smoky eye looks this week.

Until next time.
I hope you have great week end.

Mermaid Mani

Hello my MJF followers,
I back with another nail art for nubs Monday mani.
This weeks mani is a Mermaid theme as you can see.

with flash

no flash

with flash

no flash

This is the polishes swatched before nail art:

Top is Pure ice Free Spirit and on bottom is Sea Glass on top of Free Spirit.
I wanted to show you how the pure ice polishes looked before I did the nail art because Free Spirit and Sea Glass are really pretty by there self's. Also to show you that Sea Glass has a green base which makes Free Spirit more bright and greener which is awesome.

The products I used for the Mermaid Mani:
Jordana Calcium Base Coat
Pure Ice Free Spirit and Sea Glass
Avon Nail Art Delicate White
Salon Express Plate with sea horse
Avon Dual Ended Dotter tool
Tooth picks
Donna Michelle Nail Art Glitter in green and blue

I'm really happy how my mermaid mani came out but I kinda bummed that the white fish scales were so thick next time I might have try a different white or one of my nail art pens instead of a tooth pick and white nail polish. This was my first attempt in do a fish scale pattern on my nails so I was not expecting much. I really love the pure ice Sea Glass from the new Sparkling Sea collection and I can't wait to try the other one I got in my Wal-Mart haul. If you think pure ice Sea Glass is pretty you might want to go to Wal-Mart because I think they are limited edition and for the price you will not brake the bank.

What do you think about this weeks mani?
Don't forget to check out the other nail for nubs mani's this week.
Until next time.

Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with another haul from Dollar Tree and Walmart.

At the Dollar Tree store I found a lot of things that I liked the first thing was a Profusion halo-the palette it has 6 pretty eye shadows and I swatched this palette and I think they are a really nice eye shadows not powdery at all. They are very pigmented as well a soft and creamy. I got NYC hd color trio eye shadow in water colors and did swatch them to see if they were not powdery but one of the colors is and that id the blue but I will see how it looks on my eyelid later.
I also got two of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects In Prep's Cool and Tri-Bal It On. I figured I try them out when I go on Vacation when I can't paint my nails. But I have not tried any of the salon effects so I will let you know if I like them.
I also got a pack of traveling tissues for my purse because I always need tissue on hand.

At Wal-mart I got three of the Pure Ice Polishes from the new sparkling sea collection. The colors I got are Sparkling Seas, Sea Glass, and Splash! they were $1.95 each. Sparkling Seas and Sea Glass reminds me of one of my favrite polishes by pure ice which is called Over You which has the same glitter but has a light blue jelly base. I also got one of the Rimmel London 60 seconds in the color Get Your Shades On on sale for $1.50. I got E.L.F wet gloss lash & brow clear mascara for a $1.00 because I been wanting to try it and see if can tame my crazy brows.

The last thing I got from Wal-mart was season 2 of the Middle for $9.95. I really love this show and I got season 1 for Christmas so when I saw the season 2 for $9.95. I had to get it.

What do you think of my haul?

Until next time.

Grocery Outlet Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here with a few things I bought from two different trips to Grocery Outlet.

I bought two of my favorite makeup wipes by epielle in vitamin C.
I really like the epielle cleansing tissues because they have a lot different scents. So you don't have stick to one scent. I have tried three different kinds but I like this one and citrus one which is the same as this one in scent. I usually by them at big lots for $1.00 but at Grocery Outlet they were 99 cents so I save 2 cents lol. When you see this scent you have buy them because they sell out.

I found some cosmetic applicators by royal for 99 cents which I was getting low of my other bag of them that I bought at dollar tree.
I also found a Milani Haute flash full coverage shimmer lip gloss in the shade In a Flash which is pretty purple with blue and purple sparkles for $1.99 regularly $7.99. I got the Milani Lip Flash gloss pencils in three colors and when I bought them at Dollar Tree I did not by the color In a flash so know have it the gloss.
The last thing I got is L'oreal Paris color riche balm in the color Sundays by the seine for $2.99 regularly $8.49. I saw this balm there before but passed on buying it and this time I figured I give it a try.

I wait to try on my new lip products :0)

What do you think of my haul?

Until next time my MJF followers.
I hope you have a good weekend.

Mermaid Smoky Eye

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here with another smoky eye look for smoky eye friday.
This week I wanted to do a Mermaid Smoky eye look because I saw vintageortacky on youtube and she did a Mermaid eye look with UD Electric palette that really want but don't have the money for. So I used my new Jordana baked eye shadows that I just got and some other things to make it my own.

The products I used for this look:

left to right and top to bottom :
Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers Glitter eyeliner Magical (on top of e.l.f black eyeliner)
Milani liquif' eye metallic eyeliner pencil Aqua (On bottom lash)
E.L.F liquid eyeliner Black
NYX jumbo eye pencil Milk (on eyelid for a base for eyeshadow to stick to)
E.L.F eyelid primer Pearl
Milani eyeshadow Caribbean Sea (inner corner of eye)
Jordana Baked eyeshadow Aqua Dulce (in crease )and Green Mist (outer part of the eyelid and on bottom lash)
I-Mark eye single Pool (inner part of lid to blend in to Green Mist to Caribbean Sea)
Wet n Wild Brulee (brow bone and blend the Aqua Dulce)

I really had fun doing this look and I love all of the blues and greens together.
I really like the Jordana baked eye shadows and might have to go back to get the other colors because they are cheaper than the milani and as good with you used them with a base.

What do you think of this weeks smoky eye look?

Until next time my MJF followers.
Also don't forget to check out the other smoky eye looks thus week.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

Hello my MJF followers,
This past weekend I went two Big Lots and you know I love Big Lots because they  have makeup for good prices.

I got two of the new SoftLips Cube in pomegranate blueberry and fresh mint for $3.50 each. I also got another Softlips in stick form in the flavor Jelly Bean for $1.00. I also got a Revlon Colorburst lip butter in Creamsicle for $2.00 because I have not tried any of there lip butters.

The last thing I got was an E.L.F nail polish in Teal Blue. I have not tried any of E.L.F nail polishes so I figured for $.95 cents. I would give it a try.

I can't wait to try of stuff I got at Big Lots :0)

Kmart/Jordana Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with a little Kmart/Jordana haul.
I have been wanting to try more of Jordana products because last Kmart haul I got a few Jordana products and I really liked them. Also I been wanting to try the new baked eye shadows because I saw beautybroadcast review of them on youtube and really liked the color of Green Mist.

So I went to Kmart to see if any of the Jordana products was as good as they looked on youtube. As you can see they did and I got two of the Jordana baked eye shadows in Green Mist and Aqua Dulce. I got another flavor of the Jordana Sweet n' smooth  nourishing lip balm in Delicious Tangerine because I really liked the last one in Tropical Punch.
I will be doing a smoky eye look with these baked eye shadows soon.

Half Moon with Dots Mani

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm back with another nail art for nubs Monday.
This week I did a Half moon with dots design.
I got the idea from a pin from pinterest by Hannahroxnail where she did a eclipse tutorial where the base color was white and the eclipse/half moon was black.
I decided to do a mint and teal combo then I decided to put some dots to give a pretty design. As you can see in the pictures.

with the flash

With the flash

Without the flash

The products I used:
Julie G limited edition Tahiti
Sinful Colors Rise & Shine
Jordana Calcium Boost Base Coat
Unforgettable Moments Quick Dry Top Coat
Avon's dual ended nail bush and dotter tool

I'm really happy how this mani came out. I love the mint and teal combo. I might have to do another half moon design with some different colors.

What do you think of this weeks mani?

Don't forget to check out the other nail art for nubs mani's this week.

Orchid Smoky Eye

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here with another smoky eye look for smoky eye Friday.
This weeks look is more dramatic in that I winged out my bottom lash line to the top lash line as you can see. This is also a nod to the pantone color of this year Radiant Orchid.

All photos with flash except the bottom one on the right has no flash.

Top photo is with out flash and bottom photo is with flash.

Products I used for this smoky eye look:

E.L.F custom eyeshadow: purple (outer v and in the crease of eye lid)
Wet N Wild eyeshadow single: Brulee (brow bone high light)
Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil: Ransom (Bottom liner)
E.L.F Liquid eyeliner: Black (Top liner)
E.L.F eyelid primer: pearl (primer)
Avon Big color eye pencil Lavender mist (base color of lid and inner corner of eyes)
Avon true color eyeshadow duo: luscious orchid (lux lavender- lid color/ metal taupe -crease color)

I don't wear purple a lot and I tend to do more greens and brown looks. I have been trying to get out of using just green and brown.
I have been wanting to do a Radiant Orchid look and today was the day.
I'm really happy how my smoky eye look came out. I like how the purple/or orchid and taupe colors look together and might have to wear more purple/orchid eye looks.

What do you think of this weeks smoky eye look?

Until next time.
I hope you have a good weekend.
Also don't for get to check out the other smoky eye looks this week.

Avon Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I have another Avon Haul to show you.
I went a little crazy because there was so good deals in the outlet catalogs this campaign.

I got two of the Avon naturals juicy peach blossom glowing body scrub because they were on sale, if you buy 2 get them both for $6.99 and the regular price is $6.00 each so its like you buy one and get second one for 99 cents. If you saw my last Avon Haul I bought the Avon naturals shower gel in same scent and I really liked it so I figured I would give the body scrub a try because you get a lot more in the scrub than in the gel and I like body scrubs.
I got two of the Avon true color eyeshadow duos and I believe they are both from last summers collection. The duos I got are the sunkissed duo, and luscious orchid duo. I got them in the outlet for $2.99 each which is a good deal because they were $7.99 each.

If you seen my last couple Avon hauls you know that I love the Avon big color eye pencil so got two more that I don't have yet which are Avon big color eye pencil in perfect peach for $3.99 and Avon big color eye pencil diamonds for $2.99. They are both usually $6 each.

I've been wanting to try mark. hand it over super moisture hand cream in juicy apple, when I saw it on sale for $1.99 so I had to get it because its regular price is $4.

I also had my Avon lady order some demo products for me also because she is my mom and If I like it she can tell other customers that its a good product. Or they can view my blog.

The first thing I got from demos was Avon ideal flawless BB (beauty balm cream) in light.
It was $4.39 or something like that price. I will be doing a review on this product in the future.

The other demo item I got was the Avon signature triple wrap bracelet in teal. It is now in the new campaign catalog (campaign 11) and its on sale for $12.99. I really like this bracelet in that its a pretty gold tone pendant with strap that wraps around to enclose on top. I like that the tab where it attaches can be moved to make the strap longer or shorter because I had to move it to make it larger. The only thing that I was kinda bummed about was the strap is not leather. I really like the teal and gold color combo and looks good with my color of my skin. I will be wearing this a lot this summer and might have to try another one in a different color. Maybe in brown or black.

I can't wait to try out all my new Avon products. :0)

Also if you see anything you like to buy feel free to order it from my avon rep. online store. Margaret would appreciate your business.

Until next time.
Happy shopping and enjoy the show.

Rimmel Sweetie Crush Nail Polish Review and Swatches

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here with a review and swatches of two of the Rimmel London Sweetie Crush Polishes in the color Blueberry Whizz and Fizzy Applelicious.

Bottle shot of Blueberry Whizz and Fizzy Applelicious with flash

Swatches both Fizzy Appleicious and Blueberry Whizz with flash

Swatches of both Fizzy Appleicious and Blueberry Whizz without flash
As you can see I wore both of the Rimmel Sweetie Crush polishes I got. I could not decide which one I wanted to wear so wore both. I bought them at Rite Aid for $2.25 each.
Fizzy Appleicious is a light green color and Blueberry Whizz is a bright baby blue color.
They are really pretty and glittery with a texture of thick glitter.
When they dry the colors are not as bright as they become more frosty but in the sun light it looks like you have crystals on your nails which is so pretty.
I think I like this texture better than the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat that I own.
This polish does not dry as fast as the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat but its about same drying time as regular polishes.
I like the texture of this polish compare to the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat that I own.
I wish they came in larger bottles because you need like 3-4 coats and as you can see from my bottle shot picture I used quite a bit because I also painted my toes.
This was my first time trying rimmal polish and might have to try more because the formula is quite nice.
If you like textured polish you should try these out.
My favorite color out these two is the Blueberry Whizz.
I like them more than Sally Hansen Sugar Coat.

Have you tried Rimmel Sweetie Crush polishes? Or any of the Rimmel polishes and if so which ones?

Until next time.
Happy shopping and enjoy the show :0)
