Christmas/Holiday Mani #3: Green Tease and Holiday Rebel

Hello my MJF followers,
I have another Christmas/Holiday themed mani to show you.  I've been wanting to do a gingerbread man mani which I ran out of time last year so I finally did one as you can see.

with flash

no flash outside lighting

Products I used:
Revlon ColorStay Base Coat
Wet N Wild Green Tease
Sinful Colors Holiday Rebel
Orly Prince Charming
L.a Colors Art Deco White
Milani Quick Shine Top Coat

As you can see I decided to use a light green color as a base so that the gingerbread man would stand out. So I used Green Tease which a pretty pastel cream green. Also I had to add some glitter because you know everything better with glitter. So I used my favorite Christmas glitter from sinful color called Holiday Rebel. I'm really happy how this mani came out.

I hope everyone have a Happy Holiday Season.

If  you want to see my past Holiday manicures just got to search bar on web page and use "Christmas" and they should pop up.

Until next time,
Mel

Second Eye Look: Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball Beauty Book

Hello my MJF followers,
Here is the second eye look using the Disney Cinderella Ready for the ball beauty book.

Products I used:
E.l.f eyelid primer sheer
Nyx Jumbo eye pencil milk
Royalty- center eyelid
Glass Slipper-crease
Princess- inner and outer eyelid
Tweet-brow bone
Miracle- inner corner
Jordana Cateye Liner Black
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Black

In this eye look I wanted to use the other eyeshadow colors that I did not use in the last eye look. So it came out as a pretty blue eye look. The only thing is that I wish they put a darker blue because glass slipper and princess are really close in tone as you can see. Other than that I really like how it came out.

Until next time,
Mel

First Eye Look: Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball Beauty Book

Hello my MJF followers,
Since I took a while to review Cinderella beauty book. I decided to do two eye looks in one day and this is one of them using the Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball beauty book.

Products I used:
E.l.f eyelid primer sheer
Nyx Jumbo eye pencil milk
Fairy godmother -center eyelid
Dream-brow bone and inner corner
Gus Gus - crease
Kingdom- inner and outer eyelid
Jordana Cateye Liner Black
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Black

For this eye look I wanted to do a pink and nude everyday eye look for the nude lovers out there. The center eyelid color looked more pink in person then in photo which sucks because it looked so pretty. I really liked this eye look even thought I love bright colors but this would be nice everyday look. I wished that add some darker tone colors but I'm happy how this eye look came out.

Until next time,
Mel

Review: Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball Beauty Book

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm finally getting around to tell you my thoughts of Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball Beauty Book. Cinderella is not one of my favorite Disney characters but I love Disney and had to add this to my Disney beauty books collection.
cover
As always with these collection they do such nice work on the art work on these products which makes me want them even more so pretty.

back

inside beauty book
In this beauty book is similar to rest of the beauty books in that its had night eyeshadow, two blushes, an eyeliner, lip gloss and an eyeshadow brush.

Cinderella makeup guide
It also has the makeup guide under the mirror which I never use lol. I love the mirror in that it looks like a clock and you can also can remove it because its plastic but I leave it on because I never use the mirror.

closeup of products in beauty book

swatches of eyeshadows: from top to bottom and left to right: Royalty, Glass Slipper, Princess; Fairy Godmother, Dream, Gus Gus; Miracle, Tweet, and Kingdom
As you can see these eyeshadows are light colors which for me I wish they had a darker blue for the outer v to darken they eye looks and create depth in a eye look. There are mix of mattes, satins and shimmer last the others. Since they are all light blues, pinks, browns they are really hard to see them swatched on my hand. I had to build up these colors in my eyelooks because of that. If you are newbie to make up this might be for you because you have build the color but if your not then you might want to skip this beauty book unless you love Disney and Cinderella.

top: blushes- Sweet Nightingale and Royal Ball; Eye pencil Midnight and Lip Gloss This is Love
The blushes are really nice in this beauty book. They are very pigmented but they both have shimmer in it and if you don't like shimmer in your blushes you will not like this. I really love Royal Ball which is cranberry red with gold shimmer and would be nice were in winter. Sweet Nightingale is also pretty medium pink with gold shimmer too. The eye pencil is a nice creamy black but I probably will not use. The lip gloss is nice but the color is not for me. I really don't light pink lip gloss but its not stick and does not have a smell which is nice. The eyeshadow brush is nice brush for blending which is nice too.

My final thoughts on this beauty book is that it could of been better. If you are not a Disney or Cinderella fan you should skip this beauty book which I'm sad to say. If you want to see the eye looks which I did with beauty book before deciding on bought they will be posted next.
I not mad that I bought this because I love Disney and happy to add to my collection.
I like the Disney Cinderella Ready for the ball eyeshadow palette more which I also reviewed.

Until next time,
Mel

Christmas/Holiday Mani #1 : Strut Your Stuff and Late Night Haute

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here to show you my first Christmas/holiday themed Mani that I did the first week of December.

With flash

Outside lighting no flash
Products I used:
Revlon ColorStay Base Coat
Essie Strut your stuff
Sinful Colors Late Night Haute
Milani Quick Shine Top Coat

For this Mani I wanted to wear a blue nail polished and I really want to try Essie Strut your stuff that I just got at 99 cents store. So I did like a closeup of what I think a snow flake would look like because it was getting colder here in CA and I was feeling the blue. I really liked Strut Your Stuff in that is was opaque in two coats which I usually do 3 but for this mani I did two coats then used Late Night Haute on top to give it a snow flake look. I really love Late Night Haute it's a really pretty glitter topper and I can't wait to put on top of a dark blue.

If want see some Christmas themed nail art just used the search bar and search for "Christmas" or "Christmas mani" that I did last Christmas's.

Until next time,
Mel

99 Cents Store Hauls

Hello my MJF followers,
I have 2 99 cents Stores hauls to show you.

I found these really nice gloves from i-style brand in that I got a teal one and black one because it also works with my cell phone. When it cold I don't want to take my gloves off to look at my cell phone right. I also found one of the limited edition eyeshadow palette from Wet N Wild  and it called Something to rave about. I also found more of the velamints which I really like and grabbed 2. The last thing I got in this haul is power plus 9 piece screw driver.

In this next haul I went a little crazy and got a lot of Christmas stuff. I got 3 of the holiday draw with glitter to put on my TV in my house. I also found these green leave candle holders. They had a sticker from rite aide and they were $1.99 each so I saved dollar each. I also got this cute sign that says hope with a cute Owl which I love. Then I got this purple tinsel garland to put on my little tree. I also picked some stuff to make a nightmare before Christmas wreath. So I got a wreath, a red velvet bow and decorative garland which I did not used. I will post a pick of the wreath I made below. I also found this little pet bed which I got for cat that adopted us. It was only $1.99 which is a really good price. The cat also loved it. So if you need a bed for a cat or little dog go check out 99 cents Stores. I also picked up some tape for wrapping of course. The brand is bond starz and I got the decorated tape and transparent tape to refill. The last thing I got was a Essie nail polish that I could not pass up for .99 and the color name is Strut your stuff (cream blue).

Dollar Tree Hauls

Hello my MJF followers,
I know I said that I might not post on the blog this week because I was sick but I was feeling little better today. I also went to dollar tree today and went a little crazy so I thought I post the rest of my Dollar tree hauls that I got this month.

In this haul I got some window Clings to put on the mirror in Bath room. I got the Santa with his elves, reindeer, and snowman. I also got one with some penguins because I love penguins so cute.😊

I also found some Disney reusable bags that I could not pass up. I got the mickey and his friends for someones present and the Olaf one for me of course. I went back today and they were gone so if you see them buy them.

I got some things that I need like the health a to z acid reducers which do work but don't get many in a pack. I also got these cute tins with cotton swabs in them which I've been looking for. So I got Yoda and Olaf because you know I love both of them. I also picked up a colormate lip crayon in Spiced which was recommended by thinkpinkdays on YouTube. So I picked it up on a Michelle's recommend. I have not opened it yet so if you like my review on it let me know or just check out thinkpinkdays on YouTube. I also found some light up usb cable for my cell phone and thought be good for a back up. It does work but gets hot so you can't  leave it plugged in when not charging. I also got Christmas house dancing solar guy. I got 3 of the solar blinking reindeer's, 3 of the solar rocking Santa's and 3 of the solar dancing elf. I'm keeping one set of them for me then the rest is for gifting. I also got two of the Christmas house led lights in two different types the circle color lights and the regular shape color lights. If you foll own me on ig (instagram) you saw the regular shaped ones the wires was not connected. So I had to return them.

The last thing I got in this haul was a 3 pack of white funnels which I'm using for my crafts.

In this haul which was small because I had to exchange the led lights and got another other circle color ones and I also got a pack of the star shaped led lights. Also this year's lights are different in that the wire are green unlike last year's that was clear and I liked better. I also picked up some sure scents which is a dollar tree brand in the scent spruce to spray were my fake Christmas trees are to give a realistic feel and apple Cinnamon for the bath room. The last thing I got was 2 assured chest rub for my mom and my dad.

This my haul from today which I only went in to get candy canes and some ginger ale but got more than just that of course. I got the other solars to add to my collection. I got solar Santa in chimney, solar drumming bear, solar swinging snow man and solar swinging santa. I only got one of each this time because they did not have any left and I had enough other one for gifts. I did get my candy canes that I went in for and I got two packs of mini candy canes one box of Cherry and one box of Peppermint. I also got pack of cookie cutters because I did not get them last year and went back they were gone. I don't know if I'll use them for making cookies or giveaway for gifts. I got a back of red bird soft Peppermint puffs for my mom.

Because of thinkpinkdays aka Michelle said that she love the perfume from dt and she recently hauls two of them. So I thought I smell them all and when I smelled this one and sprayed it on my hand. I fell in love it smells so good. It's European American Designs compare to Eau so sexism by Victoria's Secret Charming Girl. It has a fruity and flower scent which I love. I have many of the roll on perfumes from dt and they had some of ones I got last year in and some new ones. But they did not have Charming girl in the roller ball so I passed. I just got big size. They had other compare to roller ball of other victoria's secrets too. I got this giant candy cane for someone for Christmas too.

The last thing I got was some Santa Ginger ale. Since I still have sore throat it might help.

I hope you enjoyed my Dollar Tree hauls.

Until next time,
Mel

First Eye Look: Cinderella Ready for the Ball Eyeshadow Palette

Hello my MJF followers,
I have a first eye look using the Disney Cinderella ready for the ball eyeshadow palette. I wanted to do a pretty blue/ Cinderella theme eye look.

If you saw my review and the swatches of this eyeshadow palette that posted. The first row was really light but I used cottage cheese as a base for 1 and 2 which made it show up unlike the swatched which I was really happy. I really like this eyeshadow palette because the eyeshadow bended well with out blending away. I'm really happy with how this eye look came out. I can't wait to do another eye look with this palette. Let me know if you like to see a different type of eye look like a pink or neutral just leave a comment below. I would love to hear from my followers.

Until next time,

Review: Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball Eyeshadow Palette

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here to show you the new Disney collection that is only at Walgreens this time. As you can see by the title its the Cinderella Disney character this time. I will be giving my thoughts on the Disney Cinderella Ready for the Ball eyeshadow palette.

Cinderella eyeshadow palette in package

back of package
This is is the first time they made a 35 eyeshadow palette. They usually have smaller eye shadow palettes like the Ursula palette (Disney villains wicked shadow shimmering eyeshdow) that had 8 eyesadows. When I saw this eyeshadow palette on the walgreens web site. I had to get it when it hit the stores because I love Disney and eyeshadows. Thanks to the really nice girls that works at walgreens and called me when it came in. I knew people that ordered it online and said it was big and when I got it I was kinda in shock how big it was too.

out of the package
Back of palette

When I took it out of the box it was still pretty big. Its big as my 10 inch tablet. If you expecting a little palette this is not it but if you love big eyeshadows palettes you will like this. So lets get into the design/art work on the cover is beautiful and will be a nice to display. The detail in corners of the palette is so cool in that there is fairy god mother and pumpkin carriage too and of course the big side profile of Cinderella.

inside of palette
In this eyeshadow palette its a variety of finishes and the colors range from blues, grays, pinks, golds, and browns which keep in the theme of Cinderella.

eyeshadow numbers
Since this eyeshadow palette has no names which you know I dislike. I numbered it so you can see what they look like in the pan and swached below.

first row of eyeshadows
This first row are very light colors and would need primer to help the colors show up.

second row of eyeshadows
The second row is much more pigmented and I really like 8,9,11,13. In that they are nice and creamy and would blend so well.

third row of eyeshadows
The third row is pretty pigmented also. I really like 16 and 18. The colors are so pretty.

fourth row of eyeshadows
This fourth row has more dark colors and also  very pretty colors. I like 23,24 and 28 on this row.

last row of eyeshadows
This last row is also very pigmented as well. I really like the shimmery colors as see from my picks but the mattes are pretty good too like 31 its so pigment as you can see.

As you can see by the swatches they are hits and miss in the quality but for the price of this palette which is $14.99. I figured they all wouldn't be good. I'm so sad to say there are some eyeshadows that have over spray of glitter but at least they are the same color under the over pray unlike the evil queen beauty book that was a completely different color. I think this a really pretty eyeshadow palette and if you love Disney, Cinderella, and eyeshadows you will not be to disappointed. Its not as good as urban decay its drug store quality. I made it work as you can see on my eye looks that I will be posting. I think its a good price compared to the beauty books because in the beauty book you get 9 for $9.99 but do get other face product's too and this palette you 35 for $14.99. If I did over again. I would buy it because you can do may different eye looks with endless possibilities. You can do smokey eye or neutral eye or even a pretty pink princes look.

I hope you enjoyed my review.

Until next time,
Mel

This 10 of my favorites from the challenge:

I had a lot of fun doing this lip swatch challenge. This was my first time doing a lip swatch challenge or any challenge on instgram. I was so sad and happy that it was over because it was a lot work but I also had fun thinking of ideas for each theme. I might have to do this again next year or may be a eye look challenge or Halloween theme eye looks each week next Halloween.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Halloween lip swatch challenge. If you are on Instagram you should follow me or if you don't have an account you should get one its so fun.

Until next time,
Mel
