Second Eye Look: Lorac The Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man Tell No Tales Eyeshadow palette

Hello my MJF stars,
I have another eye look using the Lorac The Pirates of the Caribbean eyeshadow palette so lets get into what I created this time.

Products I used:
Jordana Eyeshadow Base Eye Primer
Lorac The Pirates of the Caribbean Eye shadow palette :
Pirates Chest: crease
Treasure: eyelid and bottom lash
Compass: inner eyelid
Matte-y: brow bone
Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliner Navy Foil
Wet N Wild Mega liner liquid eyeliner Eyespot
Maybelline the colossal big shot volum' express Black mascara

I wanted to use the reddish/brown colors in the palette because I thought it would look pretty with a shimmery blue eyeliner. I started with Pirates Chest in the crease then put Treasure on the eyelid and bottom lash. To open the eye I used Compass in the inner eyelid. I put Matte-y on my brow bone. I put Milani Fierce Foil on as the eyeliner but it was not blue enough so I put WNW eyespot on top of that so you can still see Navy foil but also have that bright blue of Eyespot to pop. I really like how this eye look came out. I can't wait to create more eye looks with this palette.

Review: Influenster Maybelline Brow Drama Shaping Chalk Vox Box

Hello my MJF stars,
I don't have a YT video for you again but I do have a review of the Influenster Maybelline Brow Drama Shape Chalk Vox Box so lets into what I got and my thoughts.

Maybelline Brow Drama Shaping Chalk Vox Box

Maybelline Brow Drama Shaping Chalkpowder

Maybelline Brow precise micro pencil

Swatches on my hand of the brow dram chalk powder and the Brow precise micro pencil

In this vox box you get the brow drama shaping chalk powder and they also gave us a bonus which is the Brow precise micro pencil which was nice. I got Medium Brown in the brow dram chalk powder and Auburn in the brow precise micro pencil. I have been using and loving Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara because it keeps my eyebrows in place. It also gives my brows little more thickness/color and easy to use which is what I'm looking for in a brow product. So lets see if these products do that for me.

Before and after

The browdrama shaping chalk powder was not easy to apply because you have to be light handed or it look like a mess. It has really bad fall out that gets all over your face. The formula apply smoothly but was messy. It did achieve bold, softly shaped brows which I don't like because I already have thick brows. To me it does not look natural to me. Also the color looks more light brown then Medium brown which is what its named.
On the other hand I think the browprecise micro pencil is way better. In that it's easy to control and has wax in it so it sets my eyebrows in place. Also I like that I can fill in the spots where I don't have hairs. The color is also closer to my hair color but its little red but its way closer than the chalk powder. I also looked up the price of the mirco pencil its $6.99 for 0.002 oz which to me is a little bit pricey for the amount of product you get but it is cheaper than most highend brow pencils. But I don't think I will get rid of my Essance Make Me Brow gel because it only $2.99.

I think skip the chalk powder which not good in my option but you might want to try the micro pencil if you like brow pencils.

First Eye Look: Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palettes

Hello my MJF stars,
Its been a while since I posted an eye look so I thought post one of the first eyelook using the Tarte Make Believe in yourself Eye & Cheek palette. So lets get into what I created this time.

Products I used:
Jordana Eyeshadow Base Eye Primer
Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette:
Myth: crease
Marvel: Center Eyelid
Fairy: outer v and crease
Believe (Highlighter): inner corner eyelid
Wet N Wild Color Icon single eyeshadow Brulee: Brow Bone
Maybelline Master precise curvy liquid liner Black
7w absolute lashes mascara Blackest Black

I wanted to use the lavender color in this palette and thought Marvel the sag color would look pretty with it. So I put Myth in crease to have transition to brow bone color which I used Brulee which is not in the palette since they don't have matte color like it in the palette. I like to have a matte highlight when I have shimmer on the eyelid. I put Marvel on the eyelid and Fairy on outer v and crease. I then put Believe in inner corner eyelid to open up my eye. I really love how this eyelook came out. I did have some fall out with Marvel but not much. I think next time I would use NYX milk as a sticky base so I wouldn't have fall out.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed seeing my eyelook.

Review: Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette

Hello my MJF stars,
I will not be posting a video today and instead I though I post this review.
I know there are many reviews on this palette good and bad but I still wanted to give you my thoughts of this palette. So lest get in to the packaging.

inbox

out of box
I love the pastel colors with pattern on the box and on the front of the palette. I don't know if I like or don't like the palette been round because most palettes are square. I think its nice size for travel and does not take up much space. Its like 2 inch bigger than a compact mirror. I like that it is plastic and does not feel cheap.

inside palette
It has a nice size mirror but not big enough to see my whole face but I usually don't use palette mirrors to put my makeup on. I like that they put the name on the center around the highlighter but the did not put the name of the highlighter in the middle so I had to look it up online on Ulta's web site. I like that they made the eyeshadows pans in the crystal like shape not square which is different.

Top inside lighting and bottom is inside lighting with flash close up of eyeshadows

Swatches (no primer): L-R: Myth, Magic, Wings, Marvel, Trance, Fairy, Mystic, Dream, Crystal, Pixie and Believe (highlighter).
To get it out of the way in that there is only one matte eyeshadow as you can see and the rest is shimmer. So if you don't like shimmer you should say away from this palette. But if you like me and like shimmer and color this up your alley. I think all of the shadows are really nicely pigmented and was happy how they applied to my arm with one swipe. They have a really nice formula in that they are silky soft and blend nicely.  They also applies well with out packing a lot of the eyeshadow on.

I worn about half of the eyeshadows and highlighter. I did not use the highlighter on my cheeks but on my eyes which I really liked. There was some fall out but with glitter/shimmer eyeshadows you will get fall out. I had less to none fall out when I used a sticky base with a eyelid primer which also made the eyeshadows even more brighter and shinier. I would recommend a sticky base if you worry about fall out.

The eyeshadows that I really like in this palette are Dream which is turquoise with a shift, Fairy a metallic lavender shimmer, Marvel metallic sage shimmer and Beleive which is pearl highligh shimmer that hits of peach shimmer.  The only thing I wish they had one more matte for my brow bone high light because I like having a matte brow bone highlight when I where shimmers on the eyelids. Oh also did say it smells like vanilla which is a plus to me because it smells so good. I really like this palette and I was so happy that I decided to try my first Tarte product.  If you can still find this palette.

I totally recommended it to anyone that loves colorful and shimmery eyeshadows. I picked mine up on sale for $30.00 at sephora and I think it was worth it.

Products I used:
Wet N Wild wildshine protective base coat
Jordana Plumberry
Sinful Colors Kandee Johnson Pinksicle
Jordana Quick Shine Topcoat

I wanted to put Pinksicle over another base color since I really loved the shimmer of it as a topper. So I thought it would be pretty over Plumberry which is a purple/pink cream which is really pretty and have a nice formula. I really love how Pinksicle over Plumberry it makes me fell like a fairy or a unicorn. If you love purple/pinks you should pickup Plumberry from Jordana and of course if you can still find it pick up Pinksicle it would look pretty over any color to give a shimmery iridescent look.

Ross Dress For Less Hauls

Hello my MJF stars,
I'm here to show you a collective Ross haul so lets get into what I hauled this time from Ross.

I saw these mosaic lamps that was hard plastic and in this pretty blue color I had to pick them up. They were $12.99 each and one was for my dad to use in the family room and one was for my room.

I went ross and saw a Betsey Johnson gray skull blanket with pink that I liked but I did not like the color combo and went back week later. They got the same more Betsey Johnson ulta soft plush blanket but in navey, blue and gray. So I had to pick it up as you can see above. It was $22.99 and I love it because it matchs my other blankets and pillow perfectly.

I found another pair of Crocs that I had to add to my collection. They were $14.99 in lime green with blue stripe in size 11.

I found this pretty agate candle holder for $2.99 which I had to have to display with my Himalayan salt rock candle holder.

I was so happy to find these memory foam Skeckers with this pretty rainbow with black pattern for $34.99.

In this haul I found a two pack of dog collars for Jack for $4.99 which is a good price and had some cool patterns on them. I also picked up a toy for Jack which is a Kong critter for $3.99. I also got two dresses by  Sassy Rascal for Bella and Sonya that was $5.99 each but the red one was not the right size so I had return it.

I also got these legging by Game Time for $7.99 which you know I love leggings and these are really nice for $8.

I also got this cute tank top from Rosie Marlow for $8.99.

In this last haul I had to return the other dog dress for this one by Sassy Rascal which is so cute. Too bad Sonya riped a hole in it and I'm going have fix it. It was $5.99. I also found these Pizza socks by Betsy Johnson that I had to have for $5.99 which they retail for $18.00. So I'm so happy to find them for that price.  I also picked up this makeup brush by Baby Beauty for $5.99 since I wanted try out this type of brushes. We will see how good this one is.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Ross hauls.

Review: Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales Cheek Palette and Lipstick/Gloss in Me Hearties

Hello my MJF stars,
I was so happy to win the Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette and one of the Lipstick/gloss in Me Hearties that I wanted to do a review of these two items. So lets get into what I thought.

Cheek palette out of box
Like I said on my review with the Eyeshadow palette that I loved the gold emboss and design of the packaging of the palette. It also came with the same design on the outer box. It also has the pretty starry/ galaxy print on the inside like the eyeshadow palette.

Eyeshadow and Cheek palette
I did not show how the Cheek palette fits inside of the eyeshadow palette in my Eyeshadow palette review so thought I show you in this review of the cheek palette. I thought it was pretty cool idea and it does fit well.

Inside of cheek palette

It has a nice size mirror which you can use when you don't have the eyeshadow palette.

left with flash and right no flash
As you can see it has highlighters on the left and bronzer/blushes on the left.

Swatches no primer: L-R Fortune, Destined, Star Reader, Lost Soul, Caribbean, and Bold Spirit.
I think they are all pigmented as you can see by my swatches above. I really like the highlighters they are shimmery with out be chunky glitter in them. The bronzer (Lost Soul) could of been a little darker for my liking. I'm a light/medium skin tone and like a strong deep bronzer look. It would work on days that I want just a wash of color look. I like the blush (Caribbean) because I not in to bright/ pink blushes and this one is a nice brown/pink nude blush if that makes sense. I also like Bold Spirit which would also be pretty as a blush or a highlight. I would recommended this palette for light skin tones because I don't think the right side of the palette would show up on them. But I think its still worth the $30.00 for the highlighters because they are so pretty. You can also use coupons at Kohls like I said about the eyeshadow palette.

I was not planing on buying any of the lip stick/gloss duos because lately I usually wear liquid lipsticks or lip balms. But I was happy to win one to try so lets get into the lipstick/ gloss duo that I got.

lipstick tube
As you can see it has a lipstick on one end and on the other is the gloss. I like the black and gold design. The lipstick side feel plasticy and not in a good way. It feels cheap and the lipstick tub feels like it will crack easly. The lip gloss side is better made.

top: lip gloss and lipstick

T - B: Lipstick, Lipstick with gloss, and Lip gloss
The lipstick is a lip cream which I thought they were matte lipsticks which is a bummer. Its a pretty color but I think it might be too light for me in color. It looked darker in the swatch on my arm than my lips which is weird. It looks darker with the gloss but since the lipstick a cream not a matte it moves around and you can see my lip color under the lipstick as you can see in the images. Beside that they are nice feeling on the lips not sticky. I like the lip gloss by itself as you can see on the bottom picture. If it was in a darker color it might be nice but I think $26 for a lipstick and gloss is too much for me. Since I rather were a liquid lipstick and I would not would wear both the lip stick and gloss together because it moves too much on my lips. I think if they did a matte lipstick it would not have that problem. I would skip the lipstick/gloss duos unless you like lip creams and glosses.

I hope you enjoyed this review. Are you planing on getting anything from the collection? Also if you have not seen my review on the eyeshadow palette go check out that post.

I have been wanting to put Out of Orbit on my nails by itself unlike my last mani I used it as a topper. I really love the formula and it has blue, purple in a blue base which is so pretty. You can't really see the beauty of this nail polish by the picture. I also wanted to wear Silky purple which is blue purple cream polish. First Eye Look: Lorac The Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales Eyeshadow palette

First I put Bones in my crease then I put Starry night on my eye lid and blended it into the crease color. I then put Black Pearl in my outer v and little bit into the crease. I used Silvermist to brighten my eye look and to open my eye. I put lorac pencil on bottom lash as a base for Black Pearl to give it smokey look. I really love how this eye look came out and love these eyeshadow they so nice. I can't wait to do another look with this palette.

Review: Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales Eyeshadow palette

Hello my MJF stars,
I'm here to share and give my thoughts on the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales Eyeshadow palette. When I first heard about this collection I was so excited because you know I love Disney and the Pirates of the Caribbean. Also I never tried any of the Lorac palettes so I was excited to try there products. When they finally showed the pictures of the collection I was on the fence on my thoughts. I saw the eyeshadow palette and was not wowed with the colors. But that changed when I saw it in person. So lets get into the packaging first.

I love the box it came in with the skull and cross bones you know I love skulls. It also has a picture of the shadows on the back which is nice but you can't really see what the eye shadows look like.

I pulled out the palette out of the box and really liked the art work on the packaging with Jack's compass from all of the pirates movies I love. I love the galaxy pattern that run though the palette so pretty. I wish palette was not card board because if you use it a lot it will get damaged. I would of rather had plastic. It still made well with hard sturdy card board. I think it kinda bulky and thick but I think that is because of the compartment for the face palette which I did not buy but I did recently won and will be reviewing soon too. So lets get back this palette. Lets open it and see those shadows right.

As you can see it has the galaxy pattern on inside with Pirates of the Caribbean and lorac on the bottom of the mirror. The mirror is a nice size that you can see your whole face and can use to do your eye look. As you can see you get 18 eyeshadows and the deluxe sample lorac eye liner pencil. I wish they gave us a full size or a brush since the palette is $52.00. Anyways lets get into the shadows.

inside light of eyeshadows no flash

inside light with flash of eyeshadows
When I first saw the pictures of this palette colors did not wow me like I said. I do like color selection which are colors I enjoy.  I love blues, greens, silvers, and lately redish/browns. So it has a verity of colors that you can achieve different eye looks. I think if they arranged them differently it would of been more easy to create eye looks.  Or even have some info of what they thought how to use the shadows. Like there other pro palettes I have seen where they have the light shades on the left and darker to the right. So lets get into the swatches (with no primers) of the eyeshadows.

L-R: Ghostly, Starry Night, Compass, Arrgh!, Black Pearl, and Yo Ho
This first row are all shimmers. Ghostly is matte with some shimmer which pretty. I really love Starry Night which is a pretty metallic blue that I did a look with and will be posting next. It is a little soft so you have to be careful when dipping your brush in the pan and you don't need much to get that color on you eyelid. I also love Black Pearl which a dark brown base with a blueish green duo chrome look that reminds me of Wet N Wild palette comfort zone which has the similar color but I have not swatched them next to each other yet. Compass is pretty to but I wish it was darker gold color or a true gold color. Arrgh! and Yo ho are also pretty.

L-R: Bones, Silvermist, Treasure, Tell No Tales, Shiver Me, and Cursed
In this second row has Bones and Tell No Tales that are mattes and would be nice for crease colors/ blending colors for the shimmers. Treasure is pretty shimmery copper color that I can't wait to do a eye look with. Silvermist and Shiver Me are also pretty shimmery metallic shades that would be nice lid colors. Cursed is a matte black with silver or gold glitter which is different than the other eyeshadows in this palette.

L-R: Matte-y, Lost At Sea, Pirates Chest, Sea Haze, Menace, and Silent Mary
This row has Matte-y, Pirates Chest and Silent Mary which are also matte colors. Matte-y is my perfect brow bone color which is similar to my favorite wet n wild single eyeshadow in brulee that I use all the time. Lost At Sea is pretty soft light blue/gray color which looks more gray in the pan. Sea Haze is a really pretty green with gold shimmer which you know I love these type of greens and would look pretty all over the lid. Menace look black but is a dark green close to black that would look nice with Sea Haze.

As you can see they are all pigmented and not chalky at all. They have smooth and soft formula that make them blend well without getting muddy or just blending away. There is a mix of matte, matte shimmers, and shimmers/metallics. I think this palette you can create different looks with mattes and shimmers. There is few eyeshadows that are really pretty and the rest are there to make those eyeshadows shine. I think this palette is little pricey but If you can find it at kohl's like I did you can use coupon rewards/ kohls cash and I think its on sale as of now for around $41.00. Also if you like matte and shimmers and these colors or even a Disney Pirates fan I would recommend you pick it up before its gone.

What do you think of this collection? Are you going to pick anything up?
Keep an eye out for more reviews on the rest of the collection soon.
