Review: E.L.F Disney Elsa Snow and Ice Beauty Book

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here to share my thoughts on the E.L.F Elsa Makeup Collection from Walgreen's.
I will be sharing my thought on the beauty book and will be posting about the E.L.F Glow eye shadow next. So keep an eye out for that.
Here is the cover and back of the beauty book. Just like the other beauty book I love all of the art/design of the book it goes well with the movie frozen.
This beauty book also has a mirror just the other beauty books and I love that they put the ice castle just like the one in the movie with the saying "Don't Conceal, Don't Hide...".
In this beauty book it comes with a full size e.l.f eyeshadow brush with eight eyeshadows, a highlighting powder, two eyeliners, and a Lip color. This beauty book is similar to Ariel beauty book in that it has a eyeshadow bush.
As you can see it also come with a step by step guide of how to use the products but this time they had a picture how it looked on the Elsa which is nice to see.

Swatches from top to right:
Eyeshadows: Kristoff, Sven, Anna, Hans
Olaf, Arendelle, Elsa, Marshmallow
Starry Night - black with sliver glitter shimmer pencil
Frozen Heart - Black eyeliner pencil
Snow Queen - Highlighting powder
Royal Pursuit -Hot pink lip color

When I first saw pictures of this beauty book on instagram I was excited to add it to my E.L.F Disney princess collection. When I saw it in the store the eyeshadows did not grab me but when I swatched them I was surprised how pretty they are. There is two eyeshadow that was ok in pigmentation and formulation that was olaf and Elsa. Olaf was kinda powdery but pigmented and I can work with it. Elsa a was not very pigmented but it a really pretty duo purple color that will need a base to get more pigmented but again its work able. All of the eyeshadows are glittery or metallic so if that's not your thing you might want to skip this beauty book. If you are like me and love glitter and metallic eyeshadows you must get it.
The highlighting powder is so beautiful and I might use it as an eyeshadow as well. The only thing that bugged me is that the raised the price from $9.99 to $12.99. I don't know why they did that because its similar to the rest of the books. Besides that I'm happy that I bought it. If you asked me if I would of bought this beauty book after swatching them and it would be a yes.

What do you think about this beauty book? Did you buy it or anything from the Elsa Collection let me know?

Until next time,
Mel

  1. These shadows swatch so much better than I would have anticipated. I wasn't going to pick this up, but with all the positive buzz, I may have to.
