First Eye Look: Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette

Hello my MJF stars,
I wanted to show you my first eye look using the Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade palette which I did a review of if you like to check this out. So lets get into what I created with this palette.

Ulta Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette
Products I used:
Jordana Eyeshadow Base Eye Primer
Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette
5: crease and bottom lash
8: inner part of Eyelid, brow bone and bottom lash
6: outer part of Eyelid
7: outer v and bottom lash
Wet N Wild Mega Liner Liquid eyeliner Black Sparkle
L'Oréal Voluminous Primer
Maybelline colossal big shot volum' Express Mascara Very Black

I'm not a big fan of all matte eyeshadows eye looks but I wanted to try it out to see if I can change my mind. For this eye look I wanted to us the cool tone or the middle eyeshadows in the palette. I think all of the eyeshadows were nice and creamy and blended well but the only shadow that did not come out well was 8 which as you can see did not blend well with 7. It was little bit powdery but it blend with the other colors. I don't know what happened it look ok in person then in photo it looked different. Beside that I really liked how this eye look came out even thought they are all matte eyeshadows. I can't wait to try the other colors in the palette and maybe with some shimmer next time. It was really heard not to put some glitter on my eyelids lol.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this eye look.

Blue Satin with Stars Mani

Hello my MJF stars,
I have another mani for Manicure Mondays and this time its a nail polish I have been wanting wear for a while but never got around to wearing it. So lets get into what I wore this time.

Indoor lighting with flash

outside lighting with flash

outside light with flash
Products I used:
Wet N Wild wildshine protective base coat
Klean Color 37 Blue Satin
NYC Shine in a minute 202 Grand Central Station Top Coat
Sassy+Chic Nail art  (yellow stars)

I have been wanting to wear this nail polish by Klean Color called Blue Satin since I got it but finally got the chance to put it on. I have nothing like it in my collection. Its a dark metallic blue with pink hex and rainbow bar glitter mix in. I really love the formula its only needs two coats but I always do three. I stayed on my nail with out chipping for about 4 or 5 day which nice for a glitter. I had to add some yellow star gem because Blue Satin reminds be a galaxy with the glitter mix in the dark metallic blue. I really like Klean Color and bummed that I only can find it at Daiso and there is none close to my area. These polishes are little strong in smell but it worth it for the formula and the pretty colors. They are only $1.50 which a deal.

I hope you enjoyed this week mani.

Fishtail and Princess Eye Look: Makeup Revolution Mermaids Forever palette

Hello my MJF Stars,
Lately I been wearing a lot of nude or not bright colorful looks and decide to pull out my first Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette Mermaids Forever that I love to do a green/purple eye look.

Products I used:
NYC City Proof eye primer Universal
Makeup Revolution Mermaids Forever palette
Fishtail: Eyelid
Seashell: inner corner eyelid
Princess: crease
Urchin: Above Crease

Wet N Wild single eyeshadow brulee: Brow Bone

W7 liquid eyeliner black
Maybelline the Colossal Big Shot Volum Mascara Very Black

As I said I wanted to use my much loved Mermaid Forever palette to do a green/purple eye look. I used Fishtail on the eyelid which is a pretty teal/green shimmery color. I then put Princess in the crease which is a pretty blue/purple which looks perfect with Fishtail. I blended out the edge of Princess with Urchin which is pinky/purple to bend into Brulee the brow bone color. I really love how this eye look came out. I really love the Mermaid Forever palette even though there is a few not so pigmented eye shadows but there is more of the pigmented shadows in the palette to out way the bad ones. If you have not seen my review and want to see it go to the search bar on the left and type in "Mermaid Forever" and it should pop up and other eye looks I did with this palette. I just got two more palettes from Makeup Revolution and just post haul if you like to check that out.

Review: Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade

Hello my MJF stars,
I saw Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade on instagram and that I looked just like the Kat Von Den Shade and Light Palette which I have been wanting to try but was not going to pay $50 if I did not like it. So when I saw online Ulta finally got it in I had to get it.  So lets get into what I thought about this palette as well as swatches.

Front and back of palette

As you can see it a plastic palette with clear cut out so you can see the shades which different from the Mermaid Forever palette that I own. It also does not have a mirror which is not a deal breaker for me because I never use the mirrors in palettes. The palette is pretty sturdy and does not feel cheap like some drug store palettes. It says it tale free on the sticker on front but on the back it say talc so I'm confused if its has talc or not? I hope Makeup Revolution can clear this up.

Top image: indoor lighting no flash and Bottom image with flash
As you can see this palette come with 12 eyeshadows they put them three groups so that you can do an eye look if you are new to makeup or need help to create an eye look. It has three larger eye shadows for your base color and three for crease, liner and definer. I think its nice but you also came mix and match because they are neutrals to create an eye look. It also comes with a pretty nice dual eye shadow brush that I do use. It was a flat brush which nice to use pack on the eyeshadow on the eye lid or inner corner. The other end is a round blending brush which is nice for putting color in the crease or blend out the edges too.

Swatched on bare skin with flash
As you can see I swatched them on my bare skin no primer and they are very creamy and pigmented which is nice. I wish they had names which not a big deal but you know me I like names which makes it easy to tell you what eyeshadow I used in my eye looks.

First four swatched no primer with flash
The first four is really close to my skin tone which I'm light to medium skin tone so if you are fair this would work perfect for you. It would also work for me if I did not want no makeup makeup look.

Middle four no primer with flash
This four have more a gray tone which I really like if I wanted to do a cool tone eye look.

last four with no primer with flash

This last four are warm tone which I have been getting into wearing lately and was never into these types of colors.

I did a eye look with some of these colors and loved it even with out my shimmer eye shadows which I never thought I would like it. If you know me I love glitter. I have done two eye looks with this palette and I tell you that I really enjoying this palette which is new to me that I have been liking all matte eye shadow eye looks.

I think this is a really nice matte neutral eye shadow palette for $15. If you like me and love glitter but want to try all matte palette you should try this palette or if you are a fan of mattes you need this palette. Also Ulta aways have sales on the Makeup Revolution products for you can get them for less like I did I paid $10.55 for this palette.

I hope you enjoyed my Review of The Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade palette.
Are you going to get the Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade eye shadow palette? or do you own already and what is your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

Ulta Haul

Hello my MJF stars,
I have Ulta haul to show that I got a few weeks ago and been meaning to post. So lets get into what makeup goodies I got.

Youtube video of haul:

The reason I went is that I saw they had NYX and Makeup Revolution products for buy one get one 50% off.
When I walked in I saw all of the clearance items so I found some NYX products. I could not pass up the Nyx roll-on shimmer which I never tried but been waiting to try them. They was $3.99 then marked down to $1.99 which I also got the buy one get one 50% off so it was $1.49 I also used the $3.50 off $15.00 coupon so they came out to $1.31 each. I picked up 6 colors to try out and the ones I got was Res15 Nude, Res11 Almond, Res12 Platinum, Res10 Blue, Res16 Walnut and Res04 Onyx.
Then I went looking for Makeup Revolution Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade which I saw on instagram awhile ago that looked just like the Kat Von Den Shade and light palette that I wanted but could not pay $50 for a eyeshadow palette. I've have never been a big fan of all matte eye looks so I though I pay for less to see if I liked it. So I went to look for it but they did not have them out yet but it said it was there online so I asked a girl that worked there. They found me one from the back which I was so happy to get. It was $15.00 then since it was buy one get one 50% off it came to $12 than with coupon it was $10.55. I think that's really good price. The other palette I decided to get was the New-trals vs neutrals eyeshadow palette which I have been also been wanting since ShanShortcakebeauty on youtube hauled it and did an eye look with it. It also have dupes for the lime crime Venus palette and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. So it was $10 then with the bobgo 50% of it was $8 then with coupon it was $7.03. I have been wearing both and will be posting swatches/ review of both of the palettes soon.
All of these products I bought would be $48.94 but with sales and coupons it came out to $27.60 so I saved $21.34 which is awesome. So it pays to look for deals and use coupons.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my haul.

Products I used:
Wet N Wild wildshine protective base Coat
Sinful Colors Kandee Johnson Collection: Candy Hearts (which I got from influenster for testing purposes only) and Kanfetti
NYC Shine in a minute 202 Grand Central Station Top Coat

I'm not a fan of matte polishes which you been following me for a while you know so I was kinda bummed that Candy Hearts was a matte. It's a pretty patel blue which would be nice for spring/Easter. Its pretty by itself but you know I love glitter so I added Kanfetti which I love the name its so cute and its beautiful also. Its a clear base with matte blue, yellow, white hex glitter with some iridescent/ rainbow hex glitter mixed in too. It goes perfectly with Candy Hearts. I'm happy to say that Candy Hearts has not chip yet on me which its been like 5 days so far. Yes!! If you like pastel colors you need to try this new collection. I can't wait to get more of Kandee collections.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks mani for Manicure Monday.
