Review & Eye Look: E.L.F Good vs Evil Let the Drama Begin Beauty Book

Hello my MJF followers,
I know its kinda late to do a review of this beauty book because I bought it October before Halloween and never had the change to review it. So since I kinda behind I finally did eye look with it. I don't know why I have not used it til today but I think it was that E.L.F put so many beauty books out at one time I got over loaded with makeup. I also was not really in to this book and was debating if I should buy it or not. As you can see I bought it because I wanted to add it to my Disney beauty book collection and because it had double of amount of eye shadows from the other beauty books.
Anyways on to this review of the E.L.F Good vs. Evil let the drama begin Beauty Book.

As you can see it is Aurora vs Maleficent on the cover. I love the colors and design of the cover which pretty as just as the other beauty books.

Just like the other beauty books it has a mirror but this time its in shape of a rose which I love. The thing that is different in this book we get 12 eye shadows which 6 is for the day beauty look and 6 is for the night villian look. It also comes with two E.L.F lip colors one for day and one for night. It also comes with a black brightening eyeliner pencil.

Just like the other beauty books it comes with guide for two different eye looks.

Swatches of Day Beauty no primer
Here are Swatches of the Day Beauty :
Eye shadows: Sunlight, Innocence, Briar Rose
Sunbeam, Forest Beauty
Woodland
Lip Color: True Loves Kiss (Brett)

Swatches of Night Villian no primer
Here are swatches of the Night Villian:
Lip Color: Betrayal (Michael)
Eye shadows: Sorcery
Magic Spell, Evil Fairy
Hedge of Thorns, Green Flames, Black Magic

As you can see the darker colors are more pigmented then the lighter ones. In this beauty book there are more less pigmented eye shadows compared to the other beauty books but with primer and a base will help. The eye shadows that made me buy this beauty book was Magic Spell, Evil Fairy, and Green Flames which are pigmented. All of the eye shadows are shimmery or metallic except one that is called Sunlight which is matte which I'm happy to see because its a nice browbone highlight color.

So here is the Eye look I did with this Beauty Book:

Products I used for this eye look:
Sephora Perfecting Eye Primer
Jordana 12hr made to last eyeshadow pencil Continuous Almond
Magic Spell (on eyelid)
Sorcery (center of eyelid)
Black Magic (outer v)
Forest Beauty (crease)
Sunlight (brow bone)
E.L.F Liquid Eyeliner Black

As you can see I used one of the colors that made my buy this beauty book which is Magic Spell that is a blueish green but its show up more blue in the photos. I wanted brighten and add more shine the center of my eyelid with Sorcery which you can't see in photo. The color that surprised me was Forest Beauty which is a taupe with a blue duo chrome. It reminds me of Wet n Wild Nutty which I love. I really happy how this eye look came out but in the beginning I was not like it but after was finished it looked pretty good. I'm actually happy that I did buy this beauty book even with some of its down falls. I think with this beauty book I can do many looks with it. I just have to leave it out not forget that I have it. If you asked me if I buy this beauty book after using it. It would be a yes because I think you can do many eye looks whether it is a nude or bright eye look like this eye look I did today.

What do you think? Did you buy this beauty book?

Until next time,
Mel

Walgreens Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
Yesterday I went to Walgreens with my mom to look for the new sinful colors polishes but did not find anything that I had to have but I did find one thing that been wanting to try.

That's is the Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencils and they had two colors on sale. The color that I got was Continuous Almond because I love using my avon big eye shadow pencil in vanilla for a base when doing a eye look which I'm almost out of. So this color is similar with out glitter in it and was only a $1.09. I used as a base for my eye look today. Its just like the avon and nyx pencils I own and I might have to go back and buy more for backups.
So if you been want to try some of Jordana eyeshadow pencils you should check out Walgreens.

Until next time,
Mel

New Years Mani

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here to show you my New Years Mani which I wanted to do something with glitter and a blue color so this what I came up with.

The products I used:
Jordana Calcium Base Coat
O.P.I Miss Piggy's Big Number (base color), Muppets World Tour
Milani Quick Shine Top Coat

I've been wanting to use my new polishes so I used two of my O.P.I's from the movie Muppets Most Wanted. First I used Miss Piggy's Big Number which a beautiful metallic blue. That was not enough so I decided to add some glitter which made it a ruffian mani and happy added the glitter because O.P.I Muppets World Tour is so pretty and looks so pretty with Miss Pigg's Big Number. I can't wait to try the rest of collection that I bought.

What do you think of this mani?

Until next time,
Mel

Dollar Tree Hauls

Hello my MJF followers,
I'm here to show you about month worth of DT hauls.

This haul was all 50% off so they where $.50 because this was after Christmas. I got a bag of gift bows because they always get squashed this year we are putting them in these Christmas buckets for cookies so I got two one blue with Santa on it and a red one. I also got a  2 pack of little buckets in blue. I got a little train set which I been looking for and found it at the DT not close to where I live after Christmas but at lest I found it for next year. I also got three packs of gift boxes for cookies in ornaments, Christmas trees, and ginger bread men designs. The last two things I got was some gift tags.

In this haul I got 3 Royal tissues that is a 50 count which had more than the other brands they had. I also got two polishes the first one is called pepper mint glow in the dark which I love glow in dark polishes so I thought Id give it a try and if it does not work its a pretty blue. I also got a Maybelline Color Show Holographic in Mystic Green which I have been wanting forever so when I found it at DT I was so happy. I also got Assured fabric bandages which I really like. The last thing I got was a green water bottle which I love. I use it to make my ice tea and other instant drinks.

In this haul I just got two of the shoe containers in red and green to put my Christmas stuff in for next year.

In this haul I got another of the water bottles in blue because I love my green one and a bag of the Home style select old fashioned kettle cooked original potato chip which are my favorite from DT.

In this haul which was this week Friday. I was so happy to see more the dollar movies because last time they had some good ones. This time I found three that I had to get. The first one is for my dad and its Starship Troopers 3 because likes Starship Troopers and he does not have this one. I also got a double feature dvd with Life with Mikey and Father Hood which I remember watching as a kid. I also got Trail of Tears because I like learning about the native Americans and I took classes in college and thought I can learn more. I found more of the Scotch Duct Tape in a different design which is Blue Scales. The last thing I got was another bag of Home style select old fashioned kettle cooked original potato chips because I ate the other ones and they are so good.

Today I went to the DT Suite storage bag to put my Christmas Ugly sweater I made but was not really happy with it because it was spots where it was not sewined which had holes in it and it was a really thin plastic. It was not worth a dollar and I was not going to return it so I duct taped it. I will probably buy one from walmart when this one rips and it probably will. Anyways, I found another double feature dvd that I had to get which has Camp nowhere and baby secret  of the lost legend which I don't remember seeing. I also got five polishes by NYC which I been seeing and wanting but did not buy but today I went for it. I figured I can use them as a base color for stamping because they are NYC in the new york color minute quick dry and the colors I got are Tropicoral which is a pink-coral cream, Amazon Green that is a bright frosty teal green, Palm On The Beach is bright blue toned green, Jacaranda Flower is a grape purple cream, and Ocean Blue that is bright blue cream which looks like Sally Hansens original Pacific Blue. I believe all of these polishes are from the Samba collection so if missed out check your dt's. I found a E.L.F Eyeshadow "c" brush from the studio line which I never tried and I love the other e.l.f brushes so I'll give this one a try. The last two things I got was Scatter Rugs that kind of small but I though I use them as place mattes for my dog's food bowls.

That's it for now but I hope you enjoyed seeing my DT's hauls so far this month so far.

Until next time,
Mel

Big Lots Collective Haul

Hello my MJF followers,
I know its been a while but after new years my mom found an really good deal for trip to Hawaii so my parents and I went it was so nice to go to Kaua'i which never been to before. So that where I have been and I probably going to post the things I got soon or later.

So back on track to what this post is about which is my two Big Lots hauls. I wanted to post it because this weekend they're having 20% off for Big Lots members and the second haul is from today which I 20% off each item.

This haul was after Christmas so I went to check out what they had left which was not much but I did find a Maybelline new york master drama chromatics eye liner in the color Turn On The Teal for a $1.00. Its just like the UD pencil liners and Milani's too so if you see these you must try them. I also got a pack of Candy Cane Pop Drops that wanted to try for $.50 because it was 50% off.

Today I went little nail polish crazy because I've been trying to not buy polish to save money for Christmas. Since Christmas is over and they where 20% off, I went for it. I got two of the two packs of Revlon polishes the first pack had Sassy which is a cream bright green polish which I don't have many of and the second one in the pack is Smoldering which a duo chrome polish which is a greenish sliver that shifts to purple. It reminds me of a O.P.I that I have might see if they are same. The second pack I got Ritzy which is a black jelly with small hex glitters in sliver and black with larger hex sliver glitter also. I have been wanting to buy this one but always passed and when I say Stacy from Polished Ways on youtube said that I must buy this one in one of her hauls from Big Lots so I did lol. The second polish in this pack was Whimsical which is a light blue jelly with medium and large hex glitter in pink and blue. I really don't like these kind of jelly's because they are hard to build up the color and takes forever to dry but its so pretty to pass up.  I might use it as topper on other polishes. I also looked up this polish and may bloggers say this a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air. The two packs of Revlon are $2.00 each which is $1.60 with 20% off and that would make each polish $.80 each which is awesome because they usually about $4.00 each. The last polish I got is Revlon colorstay gel smooth base coat which was $1.50 them 20% off it was $1.20. I never tried this top coat before and hope this is a good one.

So that's it for now and if you want some good polish or makeup for a good price go this weekend to Big Lots you'll never know what you will find.

Until next time,
Mel

Hello my MJF,
I wanted to show you the Christmas Eye Look that wear on Christmas.

The products I used:
Sephora perfecting eye primer
Nyx jumbo eye pencil Cottage cheese

Maybelline Eyestudio Nude Romance (first color in Palette as brow bone color)
Make up Forever Aqua Cream Shade 28708 as eyeliner
Jordana Color Envy Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Black Envy

I really love how this eye look came out. I love the profusion halo palette and I can't believe that I have not been using it more. I love this green color. I might try to use them in different ways.
